The challenge
IIS runs its bids through a two-person design desk: Tre Washington and one designer. For years they designed across two separate tools, one for site walks and floor plans and one for schematics.
Building the parts list by hand was the slowest part of every bid, and mounts were easy to miss. IIS won’t bill a customer for something the team left off, so every miss came out of margin.
The solution
IIS ran the whole four-warehouse job in eyeOT planner, from the site-walk notes to the quote.
- Site-walk notes became more than 50 tracked requirements
- A model number and one click added each device with its full specs
- Every camera carried its mounts and accessories in the BOM
- The AI design review checked the design before the quote went out
“When I first heard about eyeOT planner, I expected the typical drop-an-icon-on-a-PDF tool, but this is way past that.”

- About a week from site walk to quote. Site walk on a Thursday, quote the following week.
- About 3.5 hours of hands-on design. For 80+ devices, across nine short working sessions.
- 13 issues caught before the customer saw the quote. The first review scored 22. After same-day fixes, the second scored 100.
- 150+ BOM line items, mounts included. The BOM and client documents came straight from the design.
