Product Updates

What's new at eyeOT

New integrations, device support, features and announcements across the eyeOT platform and eyeOT planner. Newest first, with the date each one shipped.

Launches and announcements

eyeOT launches eyeOT planner, a security design tool that checks the design before the crew shows up#

Start from the RFP, design on real floor plans and 3D scans, and catch PoE, port, storage and coverage problems while you design. The BOM, labor and quote come from the same design.

eyeOT completes SOC 2 Type II audit, giving integrators an answer for their customers' IT reviews#

An independent SOC 2 Type II audit by Prescient Assurance, plus an outbound-only agent and cloud or on-premises deployment: what IT teams ask for before they approve monitoring.

eyeOT is now available through Wesco, so integrators can add monitoring to the same order as the hardware#

Integrators can now quote and order eyeOT through Wesco, on the same order as the hardware, and build recurring monitoring into every job.

eyeOT adds Avigilon integration to catch cameras that are online but not recording#

eyeOT now connects to Avigilon Control Center and Avigilon Unity: recording and retention for every camera, plus the switch, port and server behind it.

eyeOT wins a 2026 SIA New Products and Solutions Award for catching the failures security systems don't report#

Recognized at ISC West 2026 for catching the failures security systems don't report: cameras not recording, degraded images, retention gaps and failed drives.

Restart switch ports and cameras remotely#

Bounce a port on supported Cisco and MikroTik switches, or reboot supported Axis and Hanwha cameras, right from the device page. A frozen device can often be fixed without sending a technician.

What's new

From a supported switch or camera in eyeOT, you can now restart it remotely. Bounce a single switch port to power-cycle the PoE device behind it, or send a reboot straight to a supported camera.

It runs through the eyeOT agent already on site, from the same screen where you spotted the problem.

Why it matters

  • Fix a frozen camera or PoE device in minutes instead of a site visit
  • Act from the screen where you saw the problem
  • Fewer truck rolls for issues a restart would fix

What's supported

  • Port bounce: supported Cisco and MikroTik switches
  • Camera reboot: supported Axis and Hanwha cameras

Fortinet FortiGate firewalls#

FortiGate firewalls now show up in eyeOT next to the switches, radios and devices they connect, so you can see the whole path from firewall to device.

What's new

The firewall sits at the top of most site networks. With the FortiGate integration, it appears in eyeOT next to the switches, radios and devices it connects.

Why it matters

  • See the whole path from firewall to device
  • Tell a firewall problem from a device problem
  • One less console to check

What's supported

  • Fortinet FortiGate firewalls

Configuration backups for network devices#

eyeOT now saves configuration snapshots for supported network devices. Compare versions side by side and check a device against its baseline after a change.

What's new

eyeOT now takes configuration snapshots of supported network devices. Compare two snapshots to see exactly which lines changed, or compare a device against a baseline you set.

Why it matters

  • See what changed after an outage or a contractor visit
  • Keep a copy of the last known-good configuration
  • Check devices still match your standard

What's supported

  • Supported network devices (the list keeps growing)

OpenEye VMS#

See OpenEye recorders and their cameras in eyeOT, with connectivity, recording status and retention. On OpenEye Gen 2 Linux appliances, eyeOT also tracks CPU and memory.

What's new

eyeOT now connects to OpenEye. Recorders show up in eyeOT with their cameras listed underneath, for cloud and on-premises systems alike, with connectivity, recording status and retention for each camera.

On OpenEye Gen 2 Linux appliances, an eyeOT agent also reports CPU and memory.

Why it matters

  • Spot recording gaps before a customer asks for footage
  • See OpenEye next to your other VMS platforms in one view
  • Track appliance health alongside the cameras it records

What's supported

  • OpenEye recorders and cameras, cloud and on-premises
  • OpenEye Gen 2 Linux appliances: CPU and memory

Jobs: turn a design into installation tasks#

Break a finished design into jobs, assign technicians and track progress from the project the design came from. The field team works from the same plan the designer drew.

What's new

In eyeOT planner, a finished design can now be broken into jobs: installation tasks tied to the devices on the plan. Assign each job to a technician and track it through to done.

Why it matters

  • Installers work from the approved design
  • Project managers see progress without chasing calls
  • Design and installation hand off in one place

What's supported

  • eyeOT planner projects

ConnectWise PSA: two-way ticket sync#

eyeOT opens a ConnectWise ticket when an incident starts and closes it when the incident resolves. Close the ticket in ConnectWise and eyeOT stays in step.

What's new

When eyeOT opens an incident, it creates a ticket in ConnectWise PSA. When the incident resolves, the ticket closes. Close the ticket in ConnectWise first and eyeOT updates too.

Why it matters

  • No more copying alerts into tickets by hand
  • Tickets and incidents never drift out of step
  • Technicians stay in the PSA they already use

What's supported

  • ConnectWise PSA
  • Also available: email, webhook, Slack, Microsoft Teams and PagerDuty alerts

Ubiquiti UniFi (cloud)#

Bring Ubiquiti wireless radios and access points managed in UniFi cloud into eyeOT, alongside the switches, cameras and servers they connect.

What's new

eyeOT now brings in Ubiquiti devices managed in UniFi cloud. Radios and access points appear next to the switches, cameras and servers that depend on them.

Why it matters

  • See wireless links in the same view as the devices behind them
  • Catch a failing link before the cameras on it drop
  • One less console to check

What's supported

  • Ubiquiti devices managed in UniFi cloud

Conduit and cable planning#

Plan conduit and cable runs on the floor plan. Lengths and labor carry into the bill of materials, so the estimate matches the design.

Read the update

What's new

Draw conduit and cable runs directly on the floor plan in eyeOT planner. Lengths come from the drawing and carry into the bill of materials and the labor estimate.

Why it matters

  • Estimates based on the real route, not a guess
  • Fewer surprises once the crew is on site
  • Bill of materials stays in step with the design

What's supported

  • eyeOT planner projects with a scaled floor plan
